Another week of heavy precipitation in California last week, with up to a foot of rain in some areas, has caused a dramatic reduction in drought conditions across the state. All of the D4 intensity drought (the most severe on the USDA’s drought scale) has been eradicated. A year ago, 40% of the state of California was considered to be in a D4 intensity drought.  Read more...
